Day 33: A look into Kelowna
I went out this weekend with a friend of mine who had recently invested in a Nikon D7000. I took him out for a fun photo trip around the North West side of Kelowna during dusk hours. His camera out performs my d300s entirely when it comes to high iso… In any case here are some of the photos. Most of them are shot on my tripod with a polarizing filter attached.
Enjoy.

Day 29: Water Works
A friend of mine in engineering has been bugging me to go swimming with him. I thought id make it a double outing a go shoot some photos of him as well. He’s originally a swimmer from Barbados so I thought I’d get him some Canadian exposure. We went to the YMCA pool in Kelowna which is very poorly lit but I shot the at iso 1250 with my 70-200 f2.8 and 17-55 f2.8. For lighting I used an SB-700.
If youve got any ideas for future posts let me know! Id be happy to do something new and exciting ![]()

Day 24: Let The Mud Fly
Yesterday I shot athletes Steven Leslie, Ryan Bath and Geoff Hodson at UBCO. The sun came out for a short while which made for some mud infested trails.
Day 23: Airborne Weekend
I seem to be doing quite a bit of sport photography lately.. I hope it continues! This past weekend I shot a few friends at a jump they constructed at a golf course a short walk from the university. It was a good place for me to improve my sports photography. This day I shot with my 70-200mm and 17-55mm lenses as well as my SB-700 on a tripod. Ill be shooting some photos up at Big White this weekend so stayed tuned for more ski shots!
