Day 38: Specialized S-Works

Since getting my SB-700 flash I’ve been trying to get photos with hard fall off to black with high contrast. I finally did it! As a backdrop I opened up my ski bag and laid it against my bed. I had my bike a good 4 feet away from the background and I shot the flash perpendicular to the camera lens about 1-1.5 feet from the edge of my camera frame and parallel to my subject. This allowed me to get the perfect flash to black fallout that I was looking for while still retaining alot of contrast in the image. Although my histogram is a bunch of rubbish shaped parabola that I could probably not reproduce on print its was still really great to finally get these awesome results! Im pretty happy with them. let me know what you think. Ive had this bike for quite a few years; its a 2006 Specialized S-Works Tarmac.

Day 16: Portraits?

I tried to do a few portrait photos of some friends using  an SB-700 on remote tripod. Let me know if they are remotely good..
